Umrah is a highly rewarding practice that can be performed at any time of the year except the days that are dedicated to the performance of Hajj. Umrah is a recommended practice to perform when one is in search of guidance and forgiveness from the Creator, Almighty. This practice is not obligatory.

One Umrah serves as an expiation for sins committed between it and the next Umrah. (Bukhari, Muslim)
